Pantoum Poems

Pantoum poem

Down among the tall hollow trees

Scaly snakes slither around the blue, rocky and deep streams

The croaking of a killer frog murdering its last victim

Plants droop over as the wet soil soaks into the ground.

Scaly snakes slither around the blue, rocky and deep streams

Tapir’s scavenge for tasty grub among waves of green Plants droop over as the wet soil soaks into the ground

Tangling vines blow in the wind like ratty hair.

Pantoum poem

Down in the deep dank amazon,

Poisonous mushrooms spreading across the land,

Dashing dart frogs skimming through the water,

Treacherous tigers murdering there pray.

Poisonous mushrooms spreading across the land,

Slithering snakes hunting for their dinner,

Treacherous tigers murdering their prey,

Tiny termites crawl over logs.

Slithering snakes hunting for their dinner,

Dashing dart frogs skimming through the water,

Tiny termites crawl over logs,

Down in the deep dank amazon

Rainforest Canopy Pantoum Poem

Green leaves like a roof interlocking with each other,

The sloth lounging in the trees, watching over his kingdom,

A bright macaw flapping his wings,

Shrill call of the howler monkeys chatting to their mates.

The sloth lounging in the trees, watching over his kingdom,

A toucan is like a smartly dressed gentleman,

Shrill call of the howler monkeys chatting to their mates.

A family of spider monkeys gobbling juicy fruits.

A bright macaw flapping his wings,

A family of spider monkeys gobbling juicy fruits,

Green leaves like a roof interlocking with each other.

Rainforest Pantoum Poem

Down in the shadowy shrubs of the jungle,

A snake slithers through the leaves,

The steamy sun’s rays hit the rocky earth,

Howling monkeys screech, scampering across the ground.

A snake slithers through the leaves,

The silent jaguar hunts for its prey,

Howling monkeys screech, scampering across the ground,

Slithery roots trying to fight for water.

The silent jaguar hunts for its prey,

The steamy sun’s rays hit the rocky earth,

Slithery roots trying to fight for water,

Down in the shadowy shrubs of the jungle.
