Village Walk. In geography, we have been looking at our local village. Today we followed a map around the village and looked at local landmarks such as the vets, the shop, the pub, the church and the bridges.
Rosie the hen came to visit us. She is from the story Rosie's Walk which we will be looking at in our English lessons in the coming weeks.

World Book Day
What a day! We started the morning with pancake races followed by some pancake tasting and lastly this afternoon we were visited by 2 pigmy goats. Thank you very much to everyone that helped us out today.

On Tuesday we had a very special guest pop in for a visit. Meet Willow, she is Mrs West's dog and will be helping out around the school occasionally. We discussed what breed she was (Newfoundland) and talked about being safe around dogs we have not met before.

We all really enjoyed our visit from the explorer dome on Tuesday. We saw the stars and learnt to use our imagination to find constellations.

We have been practicing our acting skills as well as reading and writing in English. We have also enjoyed exploring our environment: using building blocks, painting, sand and developing our personal social and emotional skills through building friendships and circle time discussions.
Our visit from Rapunzel the African Pygmy Hedgehog. The children had a great time meeting her. They learnt lots of vocabulary such as Hibernation, Nocturnal, Albino, Spiky, Prickly.
