Cookery
The children had fun today making cookies in class whilst learning to follow instructions. We had mixed success with the results but everyone enjoyed the process. We were very grateful to Mrs Hooper for coming in to help as we wouldn't have been able to do this activity without extra help.
Well done to Harry and Josh for passing their target times tables
Well done to Jack receiving his 50 reads certificate today!

Times Table Success
What a fantastic start to the week in Oak Class - lots of children received times table certificates for their targets.
Oak Class had a fantastic day at We the Curious. All of the children were amazing today. They had fun exploring and leading their own learning through the interactive exhibits and took part in the Light and Shadow workshop.
The children in Oak class are very lucky this term as they are having 6 free cricket coaching sessions. During their first coaching session they enjoyed learning new skills and can't wait for next week!
See all our photos!

The children really enjoyed making poppies in art before half-term ready for Remembrance Day. They worked really hard and also talked about the importance of why Remembrance Day is so special. They were proud to have their poppies put on our class display board.

Science
This afternoon the children have enjoyed investigating which materials block light to form shadows. Their task was to find the best material to make a pair of curtains and explain why. They worked in small groups and were given a torch and various different materials with a sheet to record their findings.
ANCIENT GREEK ART
The children have been making paper mache Ancient Greek Vases. Today they have painted a base coat and next week they will be painting patterns that they have designed in previous art lessons this term.
