The children worked really hard today making some 'Rock Cakes' to sell at the summer fair!
Today we visited Blackbrook Gym for the Year 1 PE festival. We had a really super time and the children all enjoyed trying a range of different activities.
The final part of our DT project was completed today when we made vegetable soup. The children all had a go at chopping, grating and peeling the vegetables.
The children's hats looked amazing today and they really enjoyed parading in front of each other. There were so many different designs but they were all fantastic and spring like!
We have had such good fun today celebrating World Book Day. The children's costumes looked wonderful!
We have had great fun today following our designs to make our shoebox habitats. They looked amazing once they were completed!
We have completed so much maths in the NSPCC's Number Day and really enjoyed the challenge.
The children in Pixie Class really enjoyed the skipping workshop they took part in. Everyone got involved and there was lots of laughter!
The children want to share their Christmas acrostic poem with you all. They wrote it together, discussing each line and choosing them carefully.
Tiverton Museum
We had a super day at Tiverton Museum where we were learning about old toys. We were able to play with many toys from the 50s and 60s, the Victorian era and even made our own peg dolls.

Today we have been investigating our senses of touch and smell. It was really interesting that what smelled nice to one person was unpleasant to another!
Today we investigated our sense of sight. We discovered that we can see more accurately when we use both our eyes. We discussed why our sight is important and learned the names of different parts of the eye.
