The PTFA have decided to run a competition for the children so that they can be part of the recording this moment in history. We have decided to run a competition to design a flag to record what lockdown means to them. There will be a £20 book token prize for each key stage, the overall winner will have their design made as a flag to be displayed at school. There are two templates to choose from. Entries to the csmptfa@gmail.com email address by 10th June. By sending in an entry parents consent to the design (not children's name or details) being shared on the ptfa Facebook page.

Suggestions for working at home
Well done to this weeks times table achievers and 100 reads readers!
On Friday, in R.E, the children celebrated The Last Supper by acting out the scene in their groups.
Today, we had a singing lesson from Mrs Collins from Sing Up. We used our voices, shakers and drum sticks to follow the rhythm. The children had a great time as you can see!
In P.E the children have been practising and developing their shape skills in gymnastics using various equipment.
Shape Gymnastics - hoop skills
Some children had very good techniques!
In D.T, the children carried out an experiment to see which materials and shapes were the most effective to float and carry cargo (marbles)
Well done to these children who passed their times tables targets and gained their 100 reads certificates this week.
WORLD BOOK DAY
Well done to William, Harry and Harry for achieving their 100 reads certificates today.
The children enjoyed making their William Morris inspired 3D card prints on Tuesday in art using the glue gun and printing ink.

On Wednesday 29th, the children presented an assembly about Courage to the other classes in the school. They did so well and showed lots of courage themselves.
Today the children celebrated the Chinese New Year and made their own money wallets with a gold coin inside.

SCIENCE - Today the children learnt about conductors and insulators of electricity, they enjoyed trying out their own circuits.
Carymoor Workshop
Today children enjoyed a fantastic free workshop with Karen from Carymoor Environmental Trust who are funded by Somerset Waste Partnership. They were taught the very important values of recycling. Please encourage your child to recycle at home and support them in a small challenge they have been set for this coming Friday.
Visit from Darcy our School Therapy Dog- The children really enjoyed our session with Darcy today and are looking forward to future visits.
