Year 6 Area County Finals High 5 Netball - Thursday 4th April
Congratulations to the A Team who competed in the Somerset Area Finals at Millfield School yesterday. The children played so well and fought hard to qualify for the quarter finals from their pool. They then played Thurlbear - it was a really evenly balanced game, had to go to extra time and was very tense. They went on to win and qualify for the semi-finals. We were against another Taunton team, Bishop's Hull, which was a tough game. At half-time the score was 1-1 but Bishop's Hull went on to beat us 3-1. We then played for 3rd or 4th place against Eastover and won 6-4 to claim the bronze medals. We came 3rd out of 228 schools in Somerset. It is an amazing achievement for the children and our school.

Girls Competition Football Tournament
Our Year 5/6 girls football team are to be congratulated for their performance on Monday 10th December at Kings College. They played consistently well and gave a strong team performance. They won all their games in the pool and unfortunately only lost on penalties at the knock out stages where they drew their match against Bishops Henderson. It is always tough when a match has to be decided this way. They have only conceded one in their whole season and have played superbly with an excellent attitude and team spirit.

Based on their superb results, they are through to the Taunton Area Finals to be held on 6th March at Castle school. Well done to all the children involved in both the A and B teams.
CVL Indoor Athletics Competition - Thursday 2nd November 2017
Eighteen children from years 5 and 6 took part in the SASP CVL Indoor Athletics competition hosted by Kings College this evening. The children performed extremely well with great support and encouragement from Mr Cooke. Their hard work and talent paid off and won us first place in the competition with an overall finishing place of second in the whole of Taunton - (there was another competition for other schools in the Taunton area held on Tuesday). This means we have now qualified for the county finals. The date is yet to be confirmed.
CVL Handball tournament at Heathfield Community School Tuesday 31st October 2017
Well done to our Year 5 and 6's who took part in a handball tournament this week. Some of the children hadn't ever played handball before but with the experience of others in the team, superb teamwork and encouragement towards each other the outcome was a huge success. We won all of our games convincingly apart from our final game against St Andrews where it was very evenly balanced and we just managed to win by 7 goals to 5. It was lovely to see the children working so well together and wanting each other all to have the chance to score, (which they did).

Well done to our netball teams who played really well again at the Central Venue League tournament today held at Taunton Vale. The A team won all their games and looked extremely strong. Girls Football Under 11's County Finals
A massive congratulations to our girls' football team (Years 4,5 & 6) who played in the County football finals on Friday 13th January 2017. The event took place at Bridgwater College Academy which the girls qualified for by finishing second in the Taunton Area finals. This was the first year that Creech has ever entered this competition and even getting through to the finals was a huge achievement in itself. The girls played superbly and battled really hard against some very tough competition. The progression that was seen in their overall performance is to be commended. Unfortunately, the girls narrowly missed out to a place in the semi-finals but should come away feeling very proud of themselves. Well done.
A huge congratulations to our girls football team who finished as runners up in the Taunton Area Finals on Monday 12th December. They played superbly as a team with great attitudes. Tilli Davidson captained the team and put on an excellent performance with some fantastic goals from herself, Lydia Greedy and Kate Barker. The girls narrowly missed out to a very experienced Wellesley Park team losing 2-1 in their final game. As runners up, they are now through to the County finals on Friday 13th January 2017.
