CREECH HAS GOT TALENT 2019 - Children from all of our classes took part in the Creech has Got Talent final last Friday evening. It was a fantastic show with acts ranging from singing and dancing to puppet shows and jokes. The children showed real confidence and had a natural flare for performing. Henry, Kate and Daniel hosted the show with our very own judging panel consisting of Miss Carolan, Mr Taunton, Mrs Walters (PTFA) and Sharon Roulstone (Taunton Music). After each performance the acts received feedback, points were added up and at the end of the show certificates were presented to all children that took part. The winner of KS1 was Benjamin Lewis with his magic show and KS2 winner was Noah Day-Hitchen with his fantastic drumming performance.
Hestercombe House Year 5 Residential - Our Year 5 children enjoyed their recent camping experience at Hestercombe House with 1610. Many of them had to challenge themselves and take part in activities far out of their comfort zone. There were a range of activities from putting up their tents in teams to shooting, a climbing wall and many more. It was a great experience for all of the children and thank you to Mrs Spearing for organising. Year 4 children will go on their residential to Hestercombe this week.

Our Flag Reaches The North Pole!
We were delighted to hear on Sunday morning that the flag made by KS1 pupils had reached it's destination. Alan, who visited us in February was kind enough to pack it in his kit and fly it high on the top of the world. A big thank you to him and his team as well as Mrs Perham and Mrs Cashen who worked hard to organise the project. We look forward to framing the flag when it returns.

Half-Term Vehicle Challenge
Well done to all the children who took part in the recycled vehicle challenge.
All the plans and models have been displayed for everyone to view in the main corridor of the school.
There have been so many different ideas and materials used, everyone must have worked really hard producing so many different types of transport.
Please take time to come and view the entire model collection.
We have tried to ensure all vehicles have been photographed and put on the website for those who are unable to come into school to view the wonderful display.
I think you will agree everyone who took part is a winner. Thank you for supporting this challenge.

It was a pleasure to watch Rosie Cornelius, Drew Stewart and Cory Cunningham collect their prizes at Bishop Foxes School on Thursday 7th July. Holly Williams and Owen Greenslade-Yates were there too, having been selected to give a speech about their time at Primary School. They spoke clearly and confidently and should feel very proud of themselves. Well done to all the children.
WELLS CATHEDRAL - Year 6 PILGRIM DAY
On 16 June, our Year 6 pupils attended an inspirational day at Wells Cathedral to mark the end of their time in Key Stage 2 and think about the next phase of their educational journey. The day began in the Cathedral with prayers, readings and hymns and ended with the children parading through the Cathedral, carrying school banners and lighting candles to commemorate the occasion. During the day, pupils participated in a wide range of workshops and tours of the grounds. On departure, the West Doors were opened - a special privilege as they are used only on very special occasions.

Here are a selection of KS2 photos from Sports Day. Before the races, children enjoyed activities around the playground led by some of our old pupils - now young Sports Leaders at Heathfield.
